Patients that come to you are looking for your insight into their problem, but often leave thinking you do "Magic". What if you could explain what you did in the language they speak? This lecture is for anyone interested in bridging the gap between Western and Eastern, and getting the similarities clearer for themselves.
This lecture will discuss:
- how NOT to talk to your patients
- "translating" Chinese medicine for your patients
- multiple examples of Western diagnoses and the correlating OM diagnosis
- how to treat those conditions, using a combination of herbs, nutrition, and testing
Will Mitchell and Marlene Merritt, licensed acupuncturists and owners of Merritt Acupuncture and Wellness, have created a private practice combining the understandings of Oriental Medicine, Western medicine, nutrition and herbalism to diagnose and treat difficult and chronic medical conditions. Both have extensive experience in Western medicine as well as in teaching and lecturing, including at AOMA.
