Taiji Shen Gong is a very rich and expansive form. One aspect has a very clear purpose: to elevate your Shen, your “spirit.” But also, the three parts, Heaven, Earth & Human, tell a story of Heaven and Earth coming together to create Human. It is a story of our relationship to the world and the interplay of yin qi and yang qi. Awakening the Soul can also be described as distilling the soul—clarifying it. And with the renewed clarity comes a deeper understanding of one’s life. It is like breathing new life into the body; starting again with an open heart.

Hanuman Qigong is inspired by the stories of Hanuman's dedication and service to Lord Rama. It's dance-like movements reflect these aspects of Hanuman as well as his monkey-nature. The movements help the practitioner to reach a state where one's qi and body dance together, quieting one's mind and allowing them to naturally--as Master Li says--"merge with the universe." This is a standing form.
