How to Register
AOMA offers tai chi classes in a 12 week series. Classes begin in January, April, July and September. 

Spring Classes start April 20!

1 class/week  = $150, 2 classes/week = $250, 3 classes/week = $375

Chen Tai Chi 13 forms
Sunday 6:20-7:20pm
April 20-July 13 (no class on May 25)

Tai Chi helps improve overall health and well-being, and provide a sense of calmness, centeredness, and vitality. Chen style is known for its low stances, silk-reeling force, and bursts of power known as fajin. This class for beginners will focus on the silk-reeling exercise, and 13 movements (shi san shi) from old frame first routine (lao jia yi lu). Its focus is on Qi instead of fighting.

Chen Tai Chi 83 forms*
Sunday 7:30-8:30pm
April 20-July 13 (no class on May 25)

Tai Chi can help improve overall health and well-being, and provide a sense of calmness, centeredness, and
vitality. This class will focus on the original form which contains 83 movements (lao jia yi lu: old frame first routine). It is Qi–oriented instead of focusing on the fighting application. *Prerequisite: Chen style tai chi

Shao Lin Qigong Nei Jin Yi Zhi Chan
Tuesday 6:30-7:30pm
April 22-July 15 (no class on May 27)

Qigong, similar to Yoga, is a body-mind exercise. Qigong in general is greatly helpful for relaxing the body, calming and clearing the mind, hence is helpful for regaining physical vitality and emotional balance. Shao Lin Qigong Nei Jin Yi Zhi Chan, also focuses on generating and circulating qi in the whole body, improving strength, flexibility,
balance, and developing an abundance of healing qi.

About the instructor: 
Yuxia Qiu, LAc, has been practicing Chen style tai chi for more than 15 years, and teaching in AOMA since 2001. She started to practice martial arts since her childhood, have also practiced yang style tai chi quan, yang style tai chi sword, shao lin long fist, ba gua zhang, and various forms of Qigong. Currently she is focusing on Qigong and Chen style Tai chi. In the 2006 Austin Martial Arts Festival Chen style tai chi competition, she won the 1st place.
