Yongxin Fan has practiced and taught as an attending doctor and instructor in the Acupuncture Institute at the Chinese National Academy of TCM and at the Beijing International Acupuncture Training Center. A member of the AOBTA, Yongxin Fan has lectured and worked as a visiting professor in Holland, Germany and Japan. He has more than 13 years of clinical experience and his research papers have been published in the National Journal of TCM. He specializes in applying an integrated therapy of acupuncture, herbs, and Asian bodywork to treat various pain syndromes, acute and chronic articulation and muscle injury, lumbago, recovery of fractures, headaches, stress, allergies, insomnia, and gastrointestinal disorders as well as other internal conditions. Fan has been an instructor at AOMA and Austin acupuncturist since 2002.


Robert Laguna, LAc 352

Robert Laguna holds a teaching certificate in Texas and has over ten years of experience teaching in the Texas public school system. In 1998, he was part if acupuncture brigade that brought relief and education to medical personnel in Honduras in the wake of Hurricane Mitch. His focus includes the treatment of patients with chemical dependencies, pain management, as well as working in family practice clinics alongside western physicians. Robert has been an Austin acupuncturist since 1997.

Junfeng Li, Qigong Consultations

Junfeng Li is perhaps best known as having been the head coach of the world-renowned Beijing Wushu (Martial Arts) Team and National Wushu Team of the People’s Republic of China. Under his leadership, the Beijing Wushu Team consistently won first place in national and international competitions for over 12 years, elevating the standards of excellence and quality worldwide. Today, Junfeng Li serves as advisor to the World Academic Society of Medical Qigong and the Qigong Science Research Association of China. He has taught in more than 20 countries and at AOMA since 2002.

Yuxing Liu, PhD, LAc 758
Yuxing Liu served as director and associate researcher of the Central Lab of Acupuncture and Tuina College of Chengdu University of TCM. His interest in and commitment to research is evidenced by his past history of directing more than a dozen research projects. His research interests are varied and include pain management, psychological and emotional disorders, and rheumatoid arthritis. Liu is well-published. His publications include papers, articles and books about his clinical experiences and research. He has authored seven textbooks on TCM. One of his texts is used throughout China by postgraduate students in TCM colleges and universities. He continues to be a prolific author having published an additional two books in 2006. He maintains a busy teaching schedule in addition to his practice and teaches in both the Acupuncture Department and the Herbal Studies Department. He has expertise in the treatment of various pain syndromes, allergies, stress, anxiety, depression and gastrointestinal disorders. Liu has been an instructor at AOMA and Austin acupuncturist since 2003. 

Song Luo, PhD, LAc 950

Before coming to the U.S., Song Luo practiced as a physician and vice-director in Sichuan State People’s Hospital in China. Song practiced Oriental Medicine for more than 13 years before joining AOMA. In China he taught foreign students from America, Europe and Asia for 6 years. Considered an expert in both acupuncture and neurology, Song has participated in several field related research projects and published numerous research papers and treatises. He has been invited to speak at several international conferences. Song specializes in applying acupuncture and Chinese herbs in the treatment of neurological diseases such as headache, insomnia, stress, stroke, tremor and dementia. Song has been and instructor at AOMA and an Austin acupuncturist since 2005.

Will Morris is an internationally renowned leader, teacher, and professional practitioner. With over 20 years of clinical experience, he has published on treatment of lupus, multiple sclerosis, and other autoimmune diseases using Oriental medicine. It is said that the highest level scholarship in Oriental medicine is the mastery of pulse diagnosis. As such, Will has trained with masters of this art for over two decades, and was responsible for developing the doctoral level curriculum on the subject. Will is the president emeritus of the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, a national organization dedicated to the integration and advancement of acupuncture and Oriental medicine into western culture.  Will has been  has been an instructor at AOMA and Austin acupuncturist since since 2005.

Yuxia Qiu, LAc 568

Yuxia Qiu has practiced and taught foreign students in a teaching hospital of Beijing University of TCM in Beijing. As a practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine and qigong, she has published many papers and books in several research fields, including Qigong acupuncture, acupuncture treatments for various diseases, needle techniques, and fundamental theory of TCM. Qiu has been an has been an instructor at AOMA and Austin acupuncturist since 2001, specializing in pain management and emotional disorders.


Xiaotian Shen, LAc 497

Xiaotian Shen has taught acupuncture and herbal medicine at two colleges in China and was also a doctor of traditional Chinese medicine at the Teaching Hospital of CCECK.  In addition to contributing to various professional journals, and participating in several research projects, Shen serves as a member of the NCCAOM exam writing comity and is a certified examiner of the Clean Needle Techniques. He is a frequent presenter at national conferences on topics such as the use of traditional Chinese medicine in treating patients with multiple sclerosis, hepatitis, and diabetes; and on the interaction between Chinese herbs and pharmaceuticals. Shen has been an instructor at AOMA and an Austin acupuncturist since 1999.

Jamie Wu, LAc 320

Qianzhi Wu studied acupuncture from a veteran barefoot doctor, starting his practice of traditional Chinese medicine in 1977 and later enrolled in TCM schools for seven years. Wu has been teaching and practicing acupuncture and OM for over 22 years. Wu is a past commissioner of the National Certificate Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and served as the chairman of Chinese Herbology Examination Development Committee and the chairman of the Asian Bodywork Examination Development Committee of NCCAOM. Wu has published six books (four of them as the primary author). He maintains an active clinical practice at AOMA's Professional Clinic, specializing in treating endocrine disorders, arthritis, sciatica, stress, allergies and pediatrics. Wu has been an instructor at AOMA and an Austin acupuncturist since 1996.

Yan He (Wu) is an acupuncturist and herbal specialist with more than 23 years of experience in practicing and teaching acupuncture and Chinese herbs. She has a private practice at AOMA’s Professional Clinic where she specializes in the treatment of allergies, insomnia, stress, depression, facial rejuvenation, and weight management. She often combines Chinese food therapies with her acupuncture and herbal practices.  She has published four textbooks and dozens of articles on acupuncture, herbs, and Chinese dietary therapies. Yan has been an instructor at AOMA and an Austin acupuncturist since 2002.

Zhongling Zhang, LAc 441

Zhongling Zhang has over 20 years of clinical experience practicing Chinese medicine in China and the United States. She currently maintains a private practice at AOMA’s Professional Clinic, and specializes in the treatment of allergies, insomnia, stress, and depression. Zhang has been an instructor at AOMA and an Austin acupuncturist since 1999.

Zheng Zeng, LAc 678

Zheng Zeng practiced at the Teaching Hospital of Chengdu University where she taught both Chinese and foreign students for more than eight years. She also practiced and taught in Tel-Aviv, Israel from 1996 to 1997. Zheng Zeng is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist specializing in Women’s Health (including fertility problems, menstrual disorders, and menopausal issues) and allergies. Zheng Zeng participated in clinical research on treating diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis with herbs and acupuncture. She has published papers and books about her clinical experiences and research, such as treating psycho-emotional diseases with acupuncture and treating gynecological and dermatological diseases with acupuncture and herbs. Zeng has been an instructor at AOMA and an Austin acupuncturist since 2002.
