Continuing Education Credit

There are more than 101.5 hours (calculated at 50 minutes per one credit hour) of CAE credit to choose from over the three days of the Symposium. If you attend all three days including the luncheons, you may earn up to 25.5 credit hours of CAE.  The program is also eligible for CAE in several other states, please see your state’s licensing board’s regulations for provider requirements.

Texas

AOMA is an approved provider of acupuncture continuing education in Texas (Approved Provider number 002).

Texas Acupuncturists need to complete at least 17 hours of continuing acupuncture education every 12 months. CAE hours should be counted from December 1 - November 30. The Approved Courses List gives four types of courses: General, Herbal, Ethics, and Practice Management/General. To ensure compliance with Board Rules, at least 8 hours annually must be General, 1 hour must be Ethics and at least 2 hours must be Herbal. NCCAOM

The Southwest Symposium 2010 program qualifies as professional development activities (PDA) for the NCCAOM.

California

The Southwest Symposium program is approved by the California Acupuncture Board, Provider Number 384 for 106.5 credit hours for category 1.

Florida

The Southwest Symposium 2010 program is approved in Florida for 106.5 continuing acupuncture education credits. CE Tracking #20-251201 listed under AOMA (Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin).

Texas – Licensed Massage Therapist CE

Junfeng Li (CE#0423) and Pamela Ellen Ferguson (CE#1356) are approved massage therapy continuing education providers through the Texas Department of State Health Services.  A total of 20.5 continuing education hours can be earned.   A certificate of attendance will be provided to all massage therapists who complete the Massage Therapy Statement of Attendance form and turn it in to the Symposium Registration Center at the end of the program.

Certificate of Attendance

To obtain continuing acupuncture education credit for any given class, you must arrive on time, stay until the end, and turn in a Statement of Attendance and Evaluation Form for each session you attend.  Partial credit will not be given for late arrivals, early departures, or incomplete CAE forms.  Certificates will be mailed within 30 days of the program date (to the address you provided on your registration form).
