Yuxing Liu was on the faculty of the Chengdu University and Teaching Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China, where he taught undergraduate and graduate students and served as a director and as an associate researcher. Liu is an active scholar whose publications include papers, articles, and books about his clinical experiences, and research findings. He has authored ten textbooks on TCM, and one of his texts is used by graduate students in TCM colleges and universities throughout China. He presided over 15 research projects that investigated varying topics, including pain management, psychological and emotional disorders, digestive disorders, and rheumatoid arthritis. Liu also served as a professional acupuncturist and clinical supervisor at the College of Complementary Medicine in Tel-Aviv, Israel for one year before coming to Austin, TX. In addition to his private practice, he maintains a busy teaching schedule, teaching in both the acupuncture and the herbal departments. Liu has been on the faculty at AOMA since 2004.
